Don't wait for a holiday to try this great dip! (You really should enjoy it year-round). To add more veggies, I usually use a 1-lb. package of frozen chopped spinach. (Yes, I know it is not from scratch and is NOT my original recipe but this one is too good not to share--all credit goes to Knorr).
• 1 box or steamable package (10-12 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, cooked, cooled and squeezed dry
• 1 container (16 oz.) sour cream• 1 cup Real Mayonnaise
• 1 package Knorr® Vegetable recipe mix
• 1-2 Tbsp. minced, dehydrated onion
• ½ cup cooked or canned chopped carrots
Optional:
• 1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained chopped
3 green onions, chopped
(add other ingredients as desired--chopped canned artichoke hearts are my favorite addition!)
Combine all ingredients and chill at least 2 hours.
Serve with your favorite dippers (tortilla chips, crackers, dried, sliced baguettes, carrot sticks, celery sticks, bell pepper strips, fried cheese rounds/crackers, etc).
