Instant Pot Pork Loin

Use this lightly seasoned recipe for a basic, shredded pork.  Divide into portions for 2-3 meals.  Store pork in freezer until ready to use.  Can add desired seasonings to make delicious tacos, quesadillas, casseroles, sliders, etc.

  • 2-3 lbs pork loin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp fresh ground pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Bragg Organic Sprinkle

  • 1 cup good quality broth of your choice—beef, chicken, vegetable, etc.

Rinse pork loin.  Cut in approximately 1 ½” slices.  Turn InstantPot to sauté setting.  Add approximately 1 Tbsp. olive oil to your IP, heat oil for 1-2 minutes until hot.  Add pork pieces, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.  Cook on 2 sides about 3-5 minutes until browned.  Add Bragg Organic Sprinkle to 1 cup broth, pour over pork.  Secure lid, check pressure valve.  Set IP to 40 minutes MANUAL PRESSURE, high pressure.  Use natural release.  Shred using stand mixer  while still warm or cool a bit more and shred with 2 forks.

(My finished product was soooo tender, it easily shredded with 1 fork!   Sooooo good!)

NEW shredding optionremove the pork (or chicken) from the Instant Pot, draining all liquid. Add cooked and slightly cooled meat to mixer-safe bowl. Grab your hand mixer; Shred meat on on medium setting.  I shredded a 2.25 lb pork sirloin roast today in 43 seconds No more fork shredding for me!
