Shortbread Cookies

Buttery, melt in your mouth delicious!

Ingredients

1/2 cup cornstarch (yes, cornstarch)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
   1 cup all purpose flour
   3/4 cup soft butter

Instructions
  • Pre-heat oven to 300F.
  • In a large bowl, stir dry ingredients together (can use stand mixer but it does come together quickly)
  • Add butter and mix until dough is formed
  • Roll into 1" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet (they don't spread so can be placed close together)
  • Lightly press down with a fork--I do a cross hatch as with peanut butter cookies
  • Bake @ 300F for 15-18 minutes (do NOT overbake)
  • Move to cooling rack.  Decorate as desired.
  • Store in air tight container
