Asiago Cream Sauce

This is really a non-recipe since I throw it together (sorry). I have
Baked Chicken and Zucchini with Asiago Cream Sauce
listed the ingredients &  approximate measurements.  It tastes good with just about any savory meal.


  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic


  • 2 medium zucchini, washed & sliced
  • 2-4 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/4-1/2 cup finely shredded FRESH Asiago Cheese

Melt butter in medium frying pan over medium heat.  Add chopped onion.  Cook & stir until translucent (about 5 minutes).  Add garlic to butter/onion mixture.  Cook & stir additional 2-3 minutes.  Add sliced zucchini.  Stir through to coat with butter, onion & garlic mixture.  Add 2-4 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream.  Sprinkle with fresh-ground black pepper.  Add 1/4-1/2 cup finely shredded FRESH Asiago Cheese.  (Don't let the odor of fresh Asiago deter you--it tastes heavenly when cooked.)  Stir all through a bit.  Add lid, reduce heat to just above simmer.  Cook for approximately 20 minutes.
