Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
(Crock Pot and Oven directions included) 

A complete meal in one casserole!

·         10-16 oz. bag frozen broccoli flowerets

·         1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

·         1 cup milk

·         6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

·         6 slices deli ham (double the ham, if desired)

·         6 slices Swiss cheese

·         ½ tsp. ground black pepper

·         1 (8 ounce) package seasoned dry bread stuffing mix (like Stove Top or similar)

·         1/4 cup butter (melted)

INSTRUCTIONS

1.    Mix together the cream of chicken soup and milk in a small bowl. Pour enough of the soup into a slow cooker (or 9x13” pan for oven bake) to cover the bottom.

2.    Add broccoli over soup mixture, spread over bottom of pan

3.    Layer chicken breasts over the sauce mixture. Cover with slices of ham and then Swiss cheese.

4.    Pour the remaining soup over the layers, stirring a little to distribute between layers.  Sprinkle black pepper over soup layer.

5.    Sprinkle the stuffing on top, and drizzle butter over stuffing.

6.    Crock Pot cooking instructions:  Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or high for 2-3 hours.  Oven cooking instructions:  Cover all with aluminum foil; bake @ 350 F for 45 minutes; remove foil, bake additional 15 minutes.
